|Notes||The first photograph from the Pompidou catalogue shows Mondrian with his brother Carel and Carel's wife Mary at the 278 boulevard Raspail studio. B237 is leaning against the table and B269, B267 and B268 are on the left.
As noted above, Winifred Nicholson was the painting's first owner and the second photograph, from Darwent's Mondrian in London shows the Nicholsons' Jake and Kate at Bankshead with B237 in the background.
