Credits | The installation photograph is from the Cubism & Abstract Art exhibition, New York, 1936. The spacial arrangement is interesting. The other Mondrians shown are B37, B79, B84 and (I think) B100, though CR is not clear on the lozenge. |
Notes | B124 was a gift from Mondrian to James Johnson Sweeney, subsequently a director at MoMA. It was sold in a private collection in 1986 for $5.1, more than doubling the previous record for a Mondrian of $2.2. More details here.
